Welcome to the Great Cloth Diaper Change of Mid-Michigan site. Here you will find important information about the change event for 2014.
What is the Great Cloth Diaper Change all about?
The GCDC is an opportunity to spread awareness in communities across the world about how awesome cloth diapers are. Founded by the Real Diaper Association, the GCDC is a chance for like-minded people to get together and share their love for cloth. And who can resist being a part of Guinness World Records history for the number of cloth diapers changed simultaneously? Can this year's change top last year's record of 8,251?
How does it work?
Each GCDC location needs at least 25 participants (18 and older) and a child to qualify for Guinness World Records counts. The diapers used in the change must be 100% reusable and commercially available. Children being changed cannot be taller than 39". GCDC of Mid-Michigan volunteers will act as witnesses to verify Guinness World Records eligibility.
How do I participate?
This is a free event to attend, we just ask that you please fill out the pre-registration form so we can keep track of how many will join us and whether we reach the minimum. As an added incentive, the first 25 individuals to pre-register will receive a swagbag filled with goodies from both local and national companies. If you have multiple children, please have one adult per child being changed and an adult to watch any children not participating. Don't forget to bring a blanket to change your little one on! See the FAQ for Participants guide for more information.
Can I participate in the change and have a vendor table?
YES! You are more than welcome to have a vendor table in the expo and also take part in the change. Many of the vendors already lined up are also participating in the change.
