Believe it or not, the Great Cloth Diaper Change of 2015 is just around the corner! I cannot express my gratitude enough for those who have participated in this event since I have been coordinating it in our area. The growth and support of this community is awesome, and it is my hope that each year we continue to grow and provide and community of support, education, and enthusiasm for cloth diapers. GCDC 2015 looks to be the largest gathering yet, which is fantastic!
However, this growth, especially in our local community, has presented some issues as I attempt to coordinate this year’s event. Last year I received some excellent feedback about how to make our local GCDC gathering better. I agreed with almost every idea presented and would love to see them implemented, but I have come to the realization that our growth has made it quite difficult to do this alone. In short, I need help.
Thus, I am sending out the signal flare and calling for aid from willing volunteers who share my love of the fluff! Here is a brief list of the issues that are most pressing:
PayPal donations can be made by clicking on the Donate icon to the left. All profits are donated to The Real Diaper Association.
The GCDC events are solely run on volunteer Parent Power! Any help you could provide, if even just a little, is appreciated. Again, thank you for all the support you have given in the past. I hope I can continue to have your support as we make the Great Cloth Diaper Change of 2015 the best one yet!
For the love of the fluff!

- Someone who has any contacts with a local screen printing company that would be willing to work with a non-profit. Last year there were MANY requests for shirts and totes with the GCDC logo, but these had to be pre-ordered and came from out of state, thus supply was limited. A local company would give us more options;
- People would like to see more vendors at the events, and I agree. Please spread the word to those you know who might be interested in a table at our event. Photographers, day care operators, crafters, midwives, spa/massage specialists, people who make clothes for babies and children, local organizations (like LLL, MOPS, and babywearing groups) or anyone interested in our community are welcome to apply for a table;
- An entertainment coordinator would be very helpful. Each year more families come to the event, and it would be fantastic if there were more events and activities for not just babies, but toddlers and older children as well. Having some help creating and coordinating those events would be awesome;
- Donations, prizes, and giveaways are one of the best reasons why people come to this event, and I would love to see this continue to expand. If you know someone who might be willing to donate to our event I would be grateful. Or, if you would be willing to collect items to bring to the event, that would be just as helpful;

- I need help spreading the word. Probably the most time consuming portion of this event is posting fliers across the Genesee County area. Anyone who would be willing to post fliers in their area while they run their errands would, again, be very helpful;
- Finally, if you were a participant last year, but your child has moved beyond the need for cloth diapers, I could still use your help as a witness to verify the event.
